Stampin’ Up Botanical Tags Sunflowers

Hello Everyone ~ I have a Stampin’ Up Botanical Tags Sunflowers idea that was C.A.S.E.d from the catalog.

I got a bit accomplished yesterday but it was not a hectic day.  I had water aerobics and after the class we stayed and floated around a bit.  Zoie and I came home and had lunch.  We then took off to run errands.  We went to the produce stand to get a watermelon as she has eaten all that I had.  After that we went to the Dollar store as I was looking for a tin container I saw in a video I wanted to use for my table.  Did not find the container but did pick up a few things.  We even got Zoie some craft kits to work on.  Then for a treat we went to Froyo.  When we got back home I headed to my studio and she came with me.  While I made a video and a card she did the kits we had gotten for her.  It was plainting so she had fun.  By then it was time for dinner and after dinner I put my 2 bar stools together.  I got it totally put together but 4 stubborn screws I cannot get.  I left it and may try and see if I can get them today.  I was excited and wanted to get them put together but I will have to wait to see what it will look like at my counter.

I needed a card for today and while I was looking for a stamp set to do a sketch I was going to use for tomorrow I ran across an idea I wanted to try.  On page 31 of the annual catalog, they explained how to use the Botanical Tags to make sunflowers.  I have these dies so I had to try this idea.  I followed the directions on the page to get my Crushed Curry petals.  Then I cut another one out using Soft Suede (Chocolate Chip is a better color but sadly it is retired).  I used my snips to cut off the petals from the Soft Suede one.  I then used glue to attach the 2 cut outs.  This was a challenge as it is not symmetrical so you had to keep shifting the Soft Suede piece until it matched up.  To color in the center so it was not open, I used a 1 3/8″ circle punch and some Soft Suede card stock.  I then glued the flower to the circle.  I also used the leaf spray in the framelits to cut out 3 in Garden Green.  After  I made 3 of the flowers and the leaf sprays I checked out my stash of backgrounds from a previous play day.  I found one that would work so I cut it down.  I added some retired Crushed Curry ribbon I had and then added the flowers and leaf sprays.  This panel was added to a Garden Green card base.  Here is my completed Stampin’ Up Botanical Tags Sunflowers creation.

Fall is just around the corner and nothing says Fall like sunflowers. The annual catalog inspired my Stampin' Up Botanical Tags Sunflowers. Click the photo to get the details.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I am taking Zoie to Jacksonville for a play date with her friend from school who moved down here.  Both girls are very excited.  It will be interesting to see how tired she is tomorrow evening.  Have a Great Day and aren’t my Stampin’ Up Botanical Tags Sunflowers really cute?
